In 2015, the members of the United Nations Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which was basically a movement to make this earth a better place to live for us all. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) became a global partnership, as countries tackle issues therein – poverty, health, education, inequality, economic growth, climate change and preservation of our environment.
Recognising the commitment of several not-for-profit, civil society organisations, social enterprises and volunteers fostering the SDGs, we are also aware of the need for their voices to be heard loud and clear. Online presence in form of website and social media becomes a tool to achieve that.
Sometimes in November 2018, appreciating the efforts of the various causes committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to make our world a better place for us all to stay, we decided to run a promotion asking for SDG causes to apply for free websites.
The promo was initiated by our parent company, Resipiscentia Webmedia Hub and the response was overwhelming. We were able to make an offer to three SDG causes then, and so far we have developed 43 websites spanning Angola, Burundi, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Cote D’Ivoire and Cameroon.
