Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Climate Change: Learning and Practice Opportunities

A hybrid (virtual and in-person event) at the COP 26 SDG Pavilion

Must read

The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26) will be held in Glasgow (UK) from 31 October to 12 November 2021. During the COP, UN DESA will be hosting an “SDG Pavilion”, aiming to bring together experts and policymakers leading the implementation of climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals around the world for a series of discussions on how to accelerate action across both the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Climate Change Agreement.

As part of the preparatory process for the COP 26, an open webinar on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Climate Change will be organized on 09 November 2021, from 9:15AM – 10:45AM (EST/NY time) and 14:15 – 15:45 (Glasgow) in a hybrid format: virtually via Zoom and with a limited number of participants attending the SDG Pavilion at COP 26.

The open webinar will include detailed discussions about the importance of reinforcing learning opportunities on the intersections between climate change and SDG implementation. It will also be an opportunity for an actual learning session, “Climate Classroom” led by UNITAR.

Please, register HERE by 05 November for virtual participation. In-person participation at the SDG Pavilion will be possible on a first-come, first-served basis.
